Golden milk, also called turmeric latte is an Ayurveda drink. It is the perfect nightcap to drink before bed.

In Ayurveda, this latte is touted for its healing, anti-inflammatory properties thanks to curcumin found in turmeric.

⭐ Why you'll love this recipe

    • This golden milk is super easy and quick to make.
    • Healthy nightcap or morning drink.
    • A delicious way to use turmeric.

    📖 Ingredient notes

    • Milk. If you are dairy free, vegan or paleo, make sure to use almond milk or another dairy free milk of your choice. If you are not, you can use dairy milk.
    • Turmeric powder. Turmeric has been used in Ayurveda medicine for thousands of years for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects.
    • Cinnamon. I'm using ground cinnamon but if you prefer, you can use a cinnamon stick.
    • Coconut oil. It makes the turmeric more available for our bodies to absorb because it is fat-soluble.
    • Black pepper. It also helps the absorption of curcumin by our body.

    👩🏻‍🍳Top tip

Warning ⚠️ Turmeric stains a lot (on clothes and also on cookware, cups...) so you probably shouldn't be wearing your favorite clothes while making your golden milk nor should you use your best white China.
