This strawberry salad recipe is so simple I’m wondering if it really is a recipe. So you will probably think that it is more an idea than a real recipe.

Anyway, here is a dessert idea with strawberries that is extremely easy to fix, so fresh and seasonal and looks good enough to be served at a fancy dinner ! You can of course also have this for breakfast.

Prep time




  • 1 pound (500 g) fresh strawberries

  • Juice of one lemon

  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh mint leaves

  • Optional : 1 Tbsp unrefined sugar (muscovado or coconut sugar) or maple syrup


  • Give the strawberries a rince under cold water. Remove the green parts of the strawberries.
  • Cut the strawberries into pieces and transfer those into a large bowl. Add the lemon juice, chopped mint and unrefined sugar. Mix to combine all the ingredients. And voilà!
