Wow your guests with this strawberry and mint fruit salad. This fancy looking dessert is extremely easy to make, fresh and healthy.

You can of course also have this delicious strawberry and mint fruit salad for breakfast or brunch.

⭐ Why you'll love this recipe

    • Only 3 ingredients.
    • Extremely simple and easy to make.
    • Fresh and healthy dessert.
    • Looks fancy.

    📖 Ingredient notes

    • Strawberries. Make sure to use fresh strawberries for this recipe. For your information, strawberries are part of the "dirty dozen". Which means that they are part of the list of produce that contain the most pesticides, even after washing. So, if you can afford them and find them, try to get organic strawberries.
    • Lemon juice. Freshly squeezed.
    • Mint leaves. You will need fresh mint leaves for this recipe.
    • Optional. Unrefined sugar (muscovado or coconut sugar) or maple syrup.

For the ingredient quantities for this strawberry and mint salad, please see the recipe card below.

    🥣 Step by step instructions

    1. Give the strawberries a rince under cold water. Remove the green leafy part at the top of each strawberry.
    2. Cut the strawberries into bite sized pieces and transfer those into a large bowl. Add the lemon juice, chopped mint and unrefined sugar or maple syrup. Mix to combine all the ingredients. And voilà! Serve cold or at room temperature.

👩🏻‍🍳 How to serve this fruit salad to make it fancy

The secret to instantly transform this very simple and super easy salad into a "fancy dessert to impress" is to serve it in beautiful glasses.

Believe me, if you serve it in a large salad bowl, you won't get the same "wow effect".

So really, it's worth it! Here I'm using, coupe glasses but stemless wine glasses would also be a great option or any other kind of glasses. Just pick the most beautiful ones you have on hand.

Same with the cutlery: select your best looking forks or spoons to serve it with. I recommend using small cutlery.

    💬 Frequently Asked Questions

How do you cut strawberries for fruit salad?

Cut the green leafy part at the top of each strawberry. Then quarter all strawberries. If you have any smaller strawberries just cut those ones in half. On the contrary, if you have very big strawberries you might want to cut them more than just quarters.
