A customized, private food tour
Your bespoke food tour would include tastings from a number of shops in the area of Montmartre. Typically we include stops for bread, cheese, pastry, chocolate, charcuterie and wine.

The format is about 1.5 hours of walking, with some tastings along the way, and 1.5 hours of a seated food & wine tasting in an authentic Parisian apartment. You'll get to enjoy both learning about these core elements of French cuisine and the incredible people who run the shops we visit, as well as of course tasting all of it!

Because it is a customized food tour, we can also discuss your food interests if you have anything in particular you would like to try and, of course, take into account any other dietary needs you might have on top of being gluten-free.
Who is the tour guide
Bea is a born and bred Parisian, certified gluten free practitioner and gluten free recipe creator (you can check out her gluten free recipes on this very blog!). She is herself gluten free and she has extensive experience working with clients with dietary restrictions and allergies to show them all of the wonderful (and safe!) things France has to eat and drink. To find out more about your guide credentials, make sure to check out the about Bea page.
What makes this tour different from another food tour?
- This tour is designed to be gluten free. It is not a food tour with a random "gluten free option" where you end up with just rice crackers in place of bread and pastries. With this tour, you will get real gluten free bread and pastries.
- The seated tasting is set in the dining room of an authentic Parisian apartment instead of a shop
- Your tour guide is a real gluten free expert, She knows that gluten can be found even in some cheeses not just in breads and pastries so she makes sure that her clients don't get accidentally glutened.
- Because this tour is bespoke, you connect with your guide before it: you can ask her questions about your upcoming trip and she will ask you questions about your food and wine/beverage preferences.
Frequently asked questions
- I’m both gluten and dairy free can you accommodate the tour according to my dietary needs? Yes, absolutely.
- I’m gluten free and someone else in my group has other dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan...), can you accommodate the tour according to multiple diets? Yes, we have done this with several clients in the past.
- Do you accept children? Absolutely. And we will make sure they get to discover some French soft beverages because there’s no reason they should end up with just a glass of water while you are sipping your glass of French wine 😉
- I’m the only one who is gluten free and the other people in my group prefer to have "regular" bread and pastries, is that possible? Yes, we can include a stop at a regular bakery and I will make sure there are no cross-contaminations during the tasting.
- I don’t want to eat some things (duck or liver or very stinky cheese, etc), is that ok? Absolutely. We ask you beforehand what your food (& wine) preferences are and we only buy what you want to try.
- There doesn’t seem to be a stop at a wine shop, will wine be included? Yes, wine and soft drinks will be provided during the tasting but no stop at the shop is included.
- What time does the tour start? The tour can either start at 11:00 am or 4:00 pm, the choice is up to you.
- Where is the meeting point? Place des Abbesses.
How much do you charge?
Because it is a bespoke tour, our rate depends on its specifics and the number of people attending the tour. So, in order to know how much we charge, send us an email with the details of your tour.
But you should know that, whatever happens, the price includes all food and wine/soft drinks tasting and, of course, you get to bring with you all leftovers (the leftovers are often enough to make a complete second meal) + our Gluten Free Paris Guide downloadable pdf.

We had a fantastic time on Bea's gluten-free food tour and can't recommend it enough, especially for anyone with celiac disease. As someone who has been living gluten-free for a few years, it was a huge relief to know that every stop was a safe and delicious experience.
What made the tour truly special was the personalised touch. Bea took the time to understand our family's preferences beforehand, ensuring a perfect day for everyone. We appreciated visiting a variety of places, and particularly loved the stops for cheese and chocolate, learning about the production processes and stories directly from the shop owners.
Bea's deep knowledge and passion for food, combined with her expertise as a certified gluten-free practitioner, made us feel completely at ease. She didn't just point out safe options; she guided us through authentic Parisian food culture in a way that was both educational and incredibly enjoyable. This tour is a must-do for anyone wanting to explore Paris's culinary scene.

My words will not do our tour justice, but I will try! I was able to book and coordinate everything with Bea over email prior to our arrival. Our group was made up of someone with celiac, a vegetarian, and someone who does not eat cow’s milk. Bea was able to help accommodate all our parties’ needs.
When the day came, we met Bea at the Abbesses metro station, and the food tour quickly began! It started with a stop at an all-GF bakery and a regular bakery for our non-GF people. We picked out a sweet treat in addition to some baguettes. Next, we stopped at a chocolate shop where we learned about the chocolate making process and got to sample different varieties of chocolate. Then we went to a cheese store where we got to taste and pick out 6 different cheeses. Next, we stopped at a market where we picked out a few fruits and veggies. Finally, we stopped by a charcuterie shop where we let Bea pick out options for us. Everything was included within the tour fee and was purchased by Bea. Then, we headed towards a lovely Parisian apartment where we enjoyed all the food we picked up with wine that Bea had picked out. The apartment was beautiful. The food was delicious. The conversation was lovely. Not only was Bea able to enlighten us on French cuisine and managing a dietary lifestyle in Paris, but she was able to help us on our trip itinerary with the upcoming Parisian strikes.
I recommend this food tour for anyone coming to Paris even if you aren’t limited to allergies! I was able to try food that I would not have tried otherwise thanks to the relaxed setting. I will definitely do this tour again if I ever find myself back in Paris!

Bea is a knowledgeable and charming, Parisian guide to a gluten free Paris. Our tour was a lovely neighbourhood walk to artisanal shops where we were greeted by enthusiastic staff happy to explain their products. Bea really facilitated a tour that was very participatory. The culmination of our tour was a lovely gluten free "seated tasting". The apartment dining room, in a Hausmann building was a rare treat. Bea was a truly wonderful guide so full of information that she shared easily with all of us.

Bea-
We had a wonderful time on our tour with you today - it absolutely exceeded our expectations! The quality of the food was top notch - all of us, including those in our party with and without Celiac - thoroughly enjoyed it. The shops you chose were great - really high-end, sophisticated places - and exactly how I envisioned shopping for meat, cheese, and bread in Paris would be. With all that in mind, I think what stood out even more than the food was dining in a lovely Parisian home, which was absolutely a unique experience. Thank you so much!

I am just back from a long European vacation, having started in Paris. Bea's food tour was a highlight of my entire trip. Bea carefully tailored our experience to our particular needs. We shopped and sampled wonderful cheeses, meats, and breads--learning a lot about gluten-free eating and French foods in particular. Bea then treated us to a feast fit for French royalty. I highly recommend this tour. Bea listens carefully and provides an experience for each person in the group. Thank you, Bea.

Thank you Bea for the lovely stroll to some of your favourite shops with a very thoughtful and caring evening meal in a Paris apartment. Your commitment to ensure dietary requirements don’t limit ability to enjoy a French lifestyle was special. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality.

Bea was very sweet and personal, and the perfect accommodation for my gluten-free friend. It was a lovely local experience walking to her favorite shops, and then being welcomed into her home for a typical Parisian lunch.

I can't recommend the Gluten-Free Food Tour of Paris by Go Healthy with Bea highly enough! As someone who follows a gluten-free diet, exploring food while traveling can be a bit stressful—but this tour turned that around completely. The exciting opportunity came for my husband and I to live in Paris for the month of May 2024. When we visited Paris 20 years ago, I was not gluten-free. Today I am gluten-free for health reasons. Living in Paris for a month seemed daunting because there is much gluten in French cooking. And, OH, the pastries…so sad 🥲 to think I couldn’t eat any of the fabulous French pastries! 🥐
As I researched gluten-free traveling in Paris, I found Go Healthy With Bea. What a Godsend! Even before we got to France, Bea had communicated with me multiple times, putting me at ease that I would be able to enjoy French food in France. That was exciting to us!
On Saturday, Bea walked, talked and ate gluten-free with us, sharing her wealth of knowledge of gluten-free eating in Paris. She gave us the names of restaurants, bakeries, and grocery stores that we could go to to be safe and not get glutened! Even when a creperie says gluten-free!!!
That time spent with Bea has made our visit to Paris less daunting and much more pleasurable! I look forward to her continued communications with us while here in Paris and I also signed up for Bea’s newsletter.
Bon Apetit! (Gluten-free, that is!)😃
Michele
This is a wonderful idea! I don't think I will be able to get to Paris any time soon, but I would need this! i have to eat gluten, dairy and egg free. It is always a lot of work to figure out where I can eat out. If I were traveling and working in another language it would be very stressful. I look forward to hearing about the tour! And thank you for your recipes! I enjoy the and they have helped a lot!

Bonjour Michele. Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I'm thrilled to hear that you like my recipes and that they have helped you a lot!! And I'm glad that you find that a bespoke gluten free food tour in Paris is a good idea. I'm also gluten, (cow) dairy and egg free and it is indeed very complicated to eat out, even for me as a local and without the barrier of the language. Hence why I decided to create this food tour.
