1. Terms and Conditions
1.1. Description of the Service
The tours are private culinary experiences designed to help visitors discover gluten-free food in Paris. Depending on the agreed itinerary, the experience may include visits to specialist shops, food tastings, and a seated tasting experience.
The itinerary, duration, meeting point, number of participants, and price will be communicated to the customer before the booking is confirmed.
These tours are culinary and tourism experiences, not medical, nutritional, or healthcare services.
1.2. Bookings and Confirmation
All bookings are arranged by email. A booking request is not confirmed until the date, time, number of participants, price, and other relevant details have been agreed upon in writing and the required deposit has been paid.
A booking is confirmed upon receipt of the €90 deposit, subject to written confirmation and the agreed arrangements.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate booking information, including the number of participants and any relevant dietary requirements.
1.3. Prices and Payment
All tour prices are displayed in EUR. For customers based in the United States, payment in USD may be available upon request. The applicable payment currency and amount will be confirmed before payment.
A non-refundable deposit of €90 is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is payable on the day of the tour, immediately before the tour begins.
The applicable total price and payment arrangements will be communicated to the customer before the booking is confirmed.
The Company receives payments for the tours and is responsible for administering transactions and any applicable refunds.
The payment currency and amount will be confirmed with the customer before payment. Any fees charged by the customer's bank or payment provider remain the customer's responsibility.
1.4. Dietary Requirements and Gluten-Free Food Safety
These private food tours are specifically designed to help guests discover and enjoy gluten-free food in Paris with greater confidence. The itinerary is carefully planned around establishments selected for their gluten-free offerings, with particular attention paid to food preparation practices and the risk of cross-contamination.
Bea Caillet uses her knowledge of gluten-free eating in Paris to guide guests toward suitable establishments and food options, helping them make informed choices throughout the experience.
Guests must communicate any dietary requirements, coeliac disease diagnosis, food allergies, or other relevant restrictions before booking so that the tour can be planned accordingly.
Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate the dietary requirements communicated in advance. Food selection and establishment visits will be planned with the aim of minimizing the risk of gluten cross-contamination.
As food preparation practices and ingredients are ultimately handled by the establishments concerned, guests will be informed of any relevant limitations identified during planning or the tour. Any specific dietary requirements that cannot reasonably be accommodated will be discussed before the booking is confirmed.
1.5. Tour Arrangements
The tour follows a carefully planned itinerary, including an agreed meeting point and a seated tasting experience. The guide may make adjustments to the selection of shops visited or products offered, as necessary, to ensure the best possible experience for guests.
1.6. Customer Conduct and Punctuality
Customers are expected to arrive at the agreed meeting point on time and behave respectfully toward the guide, shop owners, staff, and other participants.
Customers are responsible for their personal belongings and for informing the organizer in advance of any relevant accessibility requirements.
If a customer arrives late or fails to attend, the tour may be shortened or may not be possible to deliver as planned. Any resulting consequences will be assessed in accordance with the agreed booking arrangements and applicable law.
1.7. Liability
The Company and the tour guide will exercise reasonable care in providing the experience.
The availability of specific products, ingredients, or services at independent establishments cannot be guaranteed. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
1.8. Applicable Law and Disputes
These terms are subject to applicable French and European Union law, including mandatory consumer protection provisions.
Where applicable, consumers may be entitled to use a consumer mediation service. The relevant mediator's details will be provided in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory rights available to consumers under applicable law.
2. Cancellation and Refund Policy
2.1. Deposit and Payment of the Balance
A non-refundable deposit of €90 is required to confirm a booking. The remaining balance is due on the day of the tour, immediately before the tour begins.
The deposit reflects the bespoke nature of this private food tour and the work and expenses incurred in preparing the experience. Once a booking is confirmed, preparation begins and food and beverage expenses may be incurred in advance. In addition, the guide's schedule is reserved exclusively for the booking, meaning that other tours cannot be accepted for the same day.
For these reasons, the deposit is intended to cover the commitment and costs associated with securing and preparing the tour. In the event of cancellation by the customer, the €90 deposit is non-refundable, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law.
2.2. Cancellation by the Customer
Customers wishing to cancel a confirmed booking must notify the Company by email at [email protected].
If the customer cancels the booking before the tour begins, the €90 deposit is non-refundable, subject to any mandatory rights under applicable law.
If the customer has paid more than the €90 deposit before the tour begins, any amount paid above €90 will be refunded as soon as possible following cancellation.
No additional cancellation fee will be charged under this policy.
2.3. Cancellation by the Company
If the Company cancels a confirmed tour and cannot provide an acceptable alternative, all amounts paid by the customer for the cancelled tour will be refunded, in accordance with applicable law.
If an alternative date or arrangement is offered, the customer may accept or decline it. Any refund due will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
2.4. Refund Processing
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method wherever possible. The Company will initiate applicable refunds as soon as possible after cancellation. The time required for the funds to appear in the customer's account may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
2.5. Statutory Consumer Rights
This policy does not exclude or limit any mandatory consumer rights under French or European Union law.
The applicability of any statutory right of withdrawal, including any exception that may apply to leisure services supplied on a specific date or during a specific period, depends on the circumstances and applicable law.
